Dear Fellow Investor,
We know you’re busy, so let’s dive into what you need to know about the market today.
Stocks Moving October 1
Palantir Technologies (PLTR) – The secretive, Peter Thiel-backed AI software firm has gone public at a valuation of over $20 billion. However, traders hoping for a first-day pop similar to the one experienced by Snowflake recently will likely be disappointed – shares are up less than 4% at the time of this release.
Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) – The home goods retailer, which has struggled along with the rest of the brick and mortar industry, reported a surprise profit that leaped past Wall Street expectations. Shares are up an eye-popping 25% this morning and could be primed for further gains as BBBY’s shares appear to have broken above 52-week highs.
Enlivex Therapeutics Ltd (ENLV) – Shares of the Israeli drugmaker are up a whopping 70%+ this morning after reporting positive COVID-19 treatment results performed on severely ill patients in Jerusalem.
Unusual Options Activity – October 1
Options traders continue to pile into Netflix (NFLX) via the steaming giant’s October 2020, $500 strike calls, $505 strike calls, and $510 strike calls. This may prove to be a smart bet as the company reports earnings on October 20 and is widely regarded as one of the big winners of the COVID-10 pandemic.
Until Next Time,
